Mossy Creek Fly Fishing Forecast 8/10/2022

Nick brings us this weeks forecast. We had some pretty heavy rain today and across much of the region. Some areas received up to 2 inches in an hour. There is a bit more tonight and into Thursday. The big news is the temperature drop we are going to see here by the weekend. The next few weeks will see highs just around 80 for a high and lows into the 50's! What a reset this will be from 90 degree days. Hopefully we will see some dry weather so our topwater fishing will remain incredible. We anticipate some dirty water on the spring creeks and on the warmwater rivers for the next few days. We will post on our social channels with updates on stream conditions over the next few days. Keep an eye on the USGS gauges for updates on flows. The weather for the weekend looks amazing with sunshine and milder temperatures. It will be perfect for camping and fishing. Hopefully the brook trout streams got a good dump of rain in this system. Tricos will continue to hatch in the morning hours and the Hex's are out in the last hour of daylight. Streamer fish the next day or two until the clarity improves and go back to hopper droppers! Watch the video below for all the details.
