Learn to Tie Flies With Mossy Creek! 

Interested In Learning How To Tie Flies?

Looking to join in the fun of creating your own patterns, filling your boxes with your favorite patterns, enjoying the feeling of catching a fish on a pattern you tied, extending the fly fishing season through foul weather, or just relaxing and having fun on a rainy day? Fly tying is easy and just about anyone can do it! Our fly tying classes are taught by friendly, enthusiastic, and expert tyers. We guide you through the tools, vises, materials, nomenclature, techniques, and how to tie a few basic fly patterns giving you the foundation necessary to then progress on your own. 

We supply all the necessary tools and materials for the class. Students will learn to tie a basic streamer, nymph, and dry fly. Techniques will cover selection of the appropriate materials, palmering, dubbing, correct fly anatomy, knots, and more. 

Our classroom creates a relaxed and pleasurable learning experience. We limit the class to 6 students providing first-rate, personal attention for each student.

WEEKDAYS 2/17, 2/20, 2/25, 2/27, 3/4, 3/7, 3/10, 3/14, 3/18, 3/20 4-6pm

Guided trips, private water bookings, classes and schools are held rain or shine. The Mossy Creek Fly Fishing Guide Service wants everyone to have a great experience and will determine and communicate if fishing conditions require the trip be cancelled or rescheduled. Mossy Creek Fly Fishing Guide Service alone reserves the right to cancel a trip for any reason without penalty to the customer. A customer may cancel a booked trip, school, or private water 72 hours (from 8 a.m. eastern time the day of the trip) prior to the scheduled trip without penalty. If a customer cancels a booked trip within the 72-hour period, the credit card or gift card used for the reservation will be run for the full amount of the trip.
