Never fly fished before? A bit rusty after an extended hiatus? Need help getting to the next level? Mossy Creek’s fly fishing classes are for you! We are the most active fly fishing school in Virginia, teaching hundreds of anglers a year and will tailor our instruction to meet your needs.

Mossy Creek’s professional instructors, with years of experience are as excited about teaching as they are about fishing making your time with them both educational and fun! They will show you what gear you need and how it works, how to cast proficiently, share essential fly fishing strategies, tactics and tips and much more.

The historic architecture of our retail store combined with the beauty of our private spring creeks creates a relaxed and pleasurable learning experience.  Our student-to-teacher ratios are 4 or fewer students to instructor, providing first-rate, personal attention for each student.

Mossy Creek Fly Fishing Cancellation Policy*

Guided trips, private water bookings, classes and schools are held rain or shine. The Mossy Creek Fly Fishing Guide Service wants everyone to have a great experience and will determine and communicate if fishing conditions require the trip be cancelled or rescheduled. Mossy Creek Fly Fishing Guide Service alone reserves the right to cancel a trip for any reason without penalty to the customer. A customer may cancel a booked trip, school, or private water 72 hours (from 8 a.m. eastern time the day of the trip) prior to the scheduled trip without penalty. If a customer cancels a booked trip within the 72-hour period, the credit card or gift card used for the reservation will be run for the full amount of the trip.
