Mossy Creek Fly Fishing Forecast 3/31/2025

Brian brings us the fishing forecast this week. There will be a lot of anglers on the water enjoying all of the warm weather and good fishing conditions again this week. May be think about visiting us on Saturday 4/1 for our annual Spring Open House celebrating 22 great years in the Shenandoah Valley, grab some BBQ, a beer, chat with our guides, staff, guest fly tyers, get a casting tune up with legendary Bob Cramer, get the latest information on gear from our industry reps, or take advantage of our big spring sale event!! If you can't make the event or plan to head out this week fishing should be good. Wind hasn't been very friendly lately and we will probably end up seeing a few more windy days this week. Expect warm weather in the 70's again later this week along with some overcast days. Trout fishing should be incredible. Quill Gordons and a bunch of caddis have been dominating the mountain stream insect hatches. Caddis, BWO's and midges have been on the spring creeks. With the water being average to low and clear in the area the dry fly fishing has been good. Rainy and overcast days will make for some great streamer fishing. This is the time of year we all look forward to! We hope you have some time to get out and enjoy it!!
