Mossy Creek Fly Fishing Forecast 4/7/2025

Brian brings us the forecast this week. We have a weather reset this week starting with some rain on Monday and a cold front on the back side. Temps will be in the 30's Monday night and in the 20's Tuesday night. Highs will be back in the 60's later in the week. Water temps will drop and we expect a few changes from trout to smallmouth fishing. Brook trout may not be as greedy on surface flies Tuesday post front with the wind coming through. Wednesday is looking like sunny and mild so hopefully the bugs will hatch and the fish will begin rising again mid week. Caddis, midges, bwo's are still hatching on the spring creeks. Overcast weather will give us some great streamer fishing Thursday and Friday. Smallmouth bass will likely be slow to bite for a day or 2 with the water temp drop and the pressure change on the backside of this front. Don't fret if you have a slow bite for a day or 2 we expect things to really pick up by the weekend. We got just over half and inch of rain Sunday into Monday and we are hopeful to get more at the end of the week. Check out the video for all the great details!
