Brian brings us the forecast this week. Thanks to everyone who attended the Iron Fly Last week and the Rapidan Show on Saturday! It was a good week seeing and hanging out with everyone! The weather Sunday and Monday was decent with mild temps and good water flows in the spring creeks. Snow and wintry weather is back in the forecast this week and through the weekend. 3-10 inches or more of snow could fall all day Tuesday into Wednesday. More snow or rain is in the forecast all day Wednesday and Wednesday night. Clear weather Thursday and Friday but more rain Saturday and Sunday. We anticipate BIG water levels with possible flooding by the end of the week. We will update weather conditions on our social media channels each day as things change. The spring creeks should be in decent shape to fish until we have snow melt mixed with rain later this week. VA DWR was able to get out and stock some fish recently. Piney DH, Back Creek, Bullpasture, Spring Run, Rose, Robinson, Tye, Hawksbill, Cub Run, Maury, North Fork Shenandoah, Slate Lick, Dry River, and a bunch of other regular put and take waters have been stocked. With water levels up and likely to come up more with snow and rain in the forecast much of the week and the upcoming weekend you will want to have plenty of big attractor patterns, strike indicators, and split shot. This should be another good stretch of time to tie some flies, update your fishing gear, and prep for the spring season as it is looking like we will be flush with water again!
