Mossy Creek Fly Fishing Forecast 11/8/2021
Brian brings us the fly fishing forecast this week. If you haven't looked at our weather you might be surprised to see sunny warm weather through Friday. Temps will hit 70 degrees Tuesday. Lows will be back near freezing by the weekend. We are enjoying some late season terrestrial fishing on the spring creeks. Keep an eye above the creek for the last dancing tricos of the year. BWO's will soon be hatching in the afternoon hours later this month and in December. Right now we are doing well fishing smaller nymphs on the spring creeks as the water conditions are making for some spooky fish. Size 16-18 flies with 6x tippet are in play. Brookies are spawning on most of our creeks as being observed by some of the locals. The Shenandoah is dropping and clearing up by the day. Musky fishing should be pleasant this week and through the weekend for any fair weather anglers out there. Bass fishing should perk up for a few days as well. It is beautiful out with the leaves past peak but still making for some excellent scenery while fishing! Enjoy the forecast and be sure to stop in to load up for the season!
