Mossy Creek Fly Fishing Forecast 3/3/2025

Brian brings us the forecast this week. We have some warm weather scheduled, a little bit of rain mid week, and temps approaching 70 by next week! We have great water levels, good temps, but the wind has been an issue that is common this time of year. Brian gives us a bit of insight on how to work around and with the wind. Good reports are coming in from our local brook trout waters- North, Dry, Skidmore, and some of the larger SNP streams are fishing well. DWR is out stocking fish- North River DH, Dry River, Hone Quarry, Jackson, and more have been stocked in the past week. West VA DNR is out stocking in full force daily as well. Keep an eye on those 2 websites over the next few months for peak spring trout season. Bass and musky are much more active with water temps pushing the upper 40's. Watch out for windy days ahead but we do have some nice sunny, calm days in the forecast making for some excellent weather to get outdoors. The shop is loaded on gear and flies for the season.
