Brian brings us this weeks fishing forecast from Elkhorn Lake. Our local lakes have been stocked and give us an opportunity to catch bass and trout right now. Switzer, Elkhorn, Hearthstone, Briery Branch, and Hone Quarry are a few of our favorites. Recent rains bumped up water flows quite a bit. The Shenandoah is running high and dirty. North River has cleared up but is dropping to fishable levels. The spring creeks are running turbid but fishing well. Expect water temps to drop this week as we have frost warnings over the next few days. Lows will be around 28 degrees Tuesday night and below freezing until the weekend. It is time to load up on heavy nymphs and streamer patterns. Don't forget to check your strike indicators, split shot, and tippet spools.
