Mossy Creek Fly Fishing Forecast 11/25/2024

Happy Thanksgiving week everyone! Brian brings us the forecast this week. We have a few mild days early this week and then rain comes in Wednesday night through Thursday and then expect cold weather on the backside of the front with highs in the low 40's and lows in the teens and 20's! So winter weather has finally arrived. The forecast is calling for rain vs showers so we are hopeful we will get some pretty significant moisture to get the creeks up and flowing again. Anyone traveling up in the mountains really needs to watch the roads for slick spots after the rain and possible snow. VA and West VA DWR are still out stocking streams. Jackson, Cowpasture, Maury, Briery Branch, Hone Quarry, Elkhorn Lake, Hearthstone, Bullpasture, South Branch Potomac Catch and Release, and some other WV favorites have been stocked. Bass fishing will likely slow down a bunch this week as water temps take a massive plunge but the big musky generally eat big flies during the first big temp drop of the year. The shop is loaded with cold weather gear to get you through the winter season. We also have a bunch of great deals right now for holiday shoppers! Check out the website and our social channels for updates over the next few weeks for details! If you don't make it this way before Thanksgiving have a wonderful holiday!!
