Mossy Creek Fly Fishing Forecast 11/21/2022

Brian brings us the forecast for the week ahead. We have sunny and mild weather ahead with more moisture coming by the weekend. Temps will hit mid 50's this week with calm winds and very sunny weather. Fishing should be good from the mountains down to the valley floor. The spring creeks are in great shape and the streamer fishing has been great. We do anticipate seeing some BWO's and midges in the coming weeks especially on the overcast afternoons. Brook trout in the mountains are finishing up their spawn so be careful where you walk over the next few months. Eggs will be incubating until Feb or Mar of next year. Hop around the stream edges or along the boulders or rocks to enjoy the winter fishing without fear of crushing those brookie eggs! Musky anglers are enjoying some action and fish are a bit more agreeable now that water levels are much higher. Recent rains took down a majority of the leaves on the trees and stuck in the eddies and shallow parts of our rivers. Everything looks fresh and clean for the months ahead! Susie Q opens back up to fishing next month and conditions are looking favorable. Bookings for guided trips in 2023 continue to fly in so if you have dates especially in springtime you are looking to fish contact us soon to reserve your date!
