Mossy Creek Fly Fishing Forecast 10/10/2022

Andy brings us the forecast this week. Water levels are starting to get low again. You will find decent water levels still on Dry River if you are looking to get some brook trout fishing in before the brook trout spawn. Most of the mountain streams around us are running very low. The spring creeks are in decent shape. Beaver Creek has been fishing well. Mossy is 'air' clear again and we have seen the browns starting to act frisky which will make them more challenging to catch over the next few weeks. DWR is out stocking right now. Passage Creek DH, South River catch and release, Jackson special reg, the Tye, and a few other local spots have been stocked. The smallmouth have been rapidly leaving their summer haunts but there are still a few nice fish being caught. Fish the afternoons later this week on the 70 degree days and you might find that last 20" fish of the year!. The water temps are great for musky fishing right now. It is time to grab the sinking lines and big flies and fish the deep pools. There will be some overcast rainy days later in the week that should be great to move a few big ones! Check out the video for the full forecast!
