Mossy Creek Fly Fishing Forecast 12/16/2024
Brian brings us the forecast this week. It's cold and rainy out and we aren't complaining about a thing! Rain and snow Sunday bumped up flows or kept most streams at steady levels from the more significant rain last week. Even our smaller mountain stream water like North River upper has some decent flow to it again. We don't expect many reports from the mountains this week as it will be a bit windy tomorrow as another front moves in Wednesday and then it is going to be very cold at the end of the week into early next week with highs only in 30's and low 40's and lows in the teens and 20's! We are still loaded on cold weather fishing apparel, outerwear, waders, and boots or you can stay in and tie up some flies for the next warm front! The spring creeks have been fishing well and DWR is out stocking more streams with improved flows. Andy moved a bunch of musky Sunday and has put a few in the boat today. These overcast days have been great for converting musky follows into eats. We will be giving the bass a rest while the main river temps drop into the 30's and will be waiting until they are back in the mid to upper 40's for better winter action. Keep an eye out for updates on the weather and fishing conditions on our social channels this week and we would love you to subscribe to our youtube channel while you are watching the fishing forecast! Have a great week!
