Mossy Creek Fly Fishing Forecast
Nick brings us the forecast this week. For the first time in a long time we got some significant rainfall. Upwards and over 4 inches fell over the weekend from the remnants of the hurricane. We will see sunny, warm and calm conditions until around Thursday when the next front moves in. Another small shot of rain is possible Thursday and Thursday evening. High off color water with more overcast conditions could mean we have some great streamer fishing ahead. Get out your big nymphs and streamers for fishing this week. The backside of the next front looks like it is bringing cooler weather with some wind for the weekend. We may have our first night at freezing temps in town Saturday night! DWR is out stocking fish so be sure to keep an eye out for what might be stocked in your area this week with all the elevated water levels. Bass and musky anglers may need to wait a few days for the water to clear up a bit as there is likely going to be a good bit of debris and grass washing through. Once things clean up the next front may blow in and create a hazard with leaves. We will keep you posted once anglers get back out on the warm water rivers. Until then keep praying for rain. This last one was great but we are still in a pretty major deficit!
