Mossy Creek Fly Fishing Forecast 1/21/2025

Brian brings us the forecast this week. Who is up for a little ice fishing?!?! Just about every piece of water in Virginia is frozen or freezing right now outside of the spring creeks. Bitter cold temps around 0 degrees and wind chills well below zero will keep most of us inside organizing gear and tying flies waiting for warmer conditions. It is looking like we will breach below freezing temps Saturday and into next week. Sunday and Monday temps may hit near 40 allowing for some thawing and melting. It is a long way out but the extended forecast is showing signs of some mid 40's to 50 degree temps in about 10 days! For those  to get out we would suggest waiting until later this week and bounce some streamers off the bottom of some spring creeks. If anyone has been fishing the hardwater and doing a bit of ice fishing we would love some photos! Check out the video for updates from Brian our in house weather expert and some great events coming up! Stay warm out there and let us know if you have any fly tying questions or material needs!
