Tying the MC Mad Sculpin Fly
Have you been looking for a solid sculpin or madtom pattern for bass or trout that will ride hook point up and has the profile you are looking for? Check out this fun new pattern that has been bringing us some great success. Our guides along with smallmouth anglers throughout the mid Atlantic wanted a quality madtom pattern but we also saw a need for a good body and tail as well. Most sculpins are 2-3" long and madtoms 3-5" long and come in light tan to jet black in color. Dress up with markers, feather fins, or wherever your imagination takes you!
