Mossy Creek Fly Fishing Forecast 9/9/2026

Andy brings us the forecast mid week. Expect this heat to continue through Thursday but it will cool off a bit Friday after the next front passes. We are looking at possibly another half an inch tomorrow into Friday morning and then again on Saturday. It is about time we get another bump in flows. At least the 10 day forecast is showing some possible rain every few days. Temps are looking warm again next week so while the trout fishing may still be challenging the bass fishing should still be prime! Not much is changing for fly patterns the next few weeks unless we have some really good rain that could trigger some streamer fishing for trout. Give the topwater bite a try for smallmouth later in the day and in the evening hours. The hex hatch has been really thick and the fish have been looking up and crushing those big bugs! Carp fishing will continue to be solid with low clear conditions and warm water temps! Get out and enjoy these summer conditions while they last!!
