Mossy Creek Fly Fishing Forecast 8/22/2022

Andy brings us the forecast this week. The South Fork is bumping up at the moment from rain we received over the weekend. Water flow looks to have peaked and are starting to drop. We will likely have a few days of stained water but fishing should be good throughout the week. The topwater bite might be on hold for a few days but fishing crayfish, hellgrammite, and baitfish patterns should be excellent. Keep an eye on our social media channels as we will update conditions tomorrow when we are back on the river. We will be continuing to fish the trico hatch, terrestrials, and hex on the spring creeks for the next week. Fishing was excellent last week but was horribly slow once the weather pattern changed up on Saturday and Sunday. Fishing should normalize as this weather system gets beyond us. Brook trout fishing is still good up on Dry River right now. Little yellow stones, small ants, beetles, size 16 attractor dry flies are working well. Check out the video for the full forecast.
