Mossy Creek Fly Fishing Forecast 8/20/2024
Andy brings us the forecast this week. Be ready for a weather change ahead as this cold front and dip in the jetstream is bringing cooler weather. Temps will be in the upper 40's low 50's this week with highs in the 70's. It is looking like we will see more warm weather again next week with temps back into the upper 80's and possibly lower 90's. Bass fishing was a bit slower over the weekend as the front settled in but it is getting better this week. Reports from earlier today is the topwater bite is back on and swim frogs are doing well. Water levels are at a great level and holding pretty well from the big rain Debbie brought. We are looking forward to another month of great bass fishing! We actually had a few musky follow smaller flies while bass fishing during this full moon phase. Trout fishing reports have still been strong up in the mountains and spring creeks. Ants, beetles, little yellow stones, and attractor patterns are working well for brook trout. Tricos, hex, and terrestrial insects are all in play on the spring creeks. If you want to enjoy some good mountain trout fishing get out soon as water levels aren't going to last too long! The 10 day forecast is not showing much rain at all. Check out the video for all the details!
