Mossy Creek Fly Fishing Forecast 12/15/2025
Brian brings us the forecast this week. Water conditions are low, clear, and cold, but we anticipate a bit of warming this week with some days in the mid to upper 50's! Rain is potential on Thursday evening. Not much was stocked recently with the super cold weather, snow, and ice up in the mountains. Trout fishing is limited to the spring creeks and tailwaters until some of the higher elevation roads clean up this week. Some ponds and lakes have ice right now but we should see some thawing this week. Bass and musky fishing will be more tolerable on the warmer days. The musky fishing has been quite good the past few weeks with more giants eating than through the fall. The shop is loaded with all the flies you need for the winter months! Blue wing olives have been out on the calm and overcast days, midges most days, and the nymph and streamer fishing will be key all the way through spring! Stop in or browse online for our hot flies and latest arrivals!
