Mossy Creek Fly Fishing Forecast 12/1/2025

Brian brings us the forecast this week. Not much has changed in the past few weeks but the temps are dropping further! Highs will only be in the low to mid 40's with lows in the 20's and teens over the next 10 days. Expect a bit of winter weather on Tuesday and Saturday mornings. Back roads can be slick as we are expecting ice, sleet, freezing rain mixed. Overnight cold temps will keep the roads locked up in spots especially in the mountains. We will be concentrating our fishing time on the spring creeks, tailwaters, and on the musky rivers while these conditions continue. Spring creek fishing today was good on streamers like thin mints and TJ hookers. BWO's have been out and small dries are now in play most afternoons on calm days. Jig streamers, nymphs, egg patterns, worms need to be in your boxes for the next few weeks. Fish deep and keep your presentations slow as water temps drop everywhere. Musky anglers should target the overcast days to give you some buffer in these crystal clear conditions. Check out the video for all the details on where to head this week in between the holiday rush of parties and shopping!
