Mossy Creek Fly Fishing Forecast 11/26/2025
Nick brings us the Thanksgiving week forecast. It is looking like maybe a bit better time to hang around the house, tie some flies, and visit with family as we are expecting some very cold and windy weather. Highs are expected to only breach 40 degrees a few days in the next week! Lows will be in the 20's making for some winter like fishing conditions. DWR has been out stocking lately- Upper Sherando, Douthat Lake, Spring Run, Jackson River, Cowpasture, and Silver Lake. We don't have much in the form of precipitation in the forecast so expect water levels to continue to be very low and we may see some ice on the edges of streams and around some lakes in higher elevations. Much of our fishing will continue to be focused around the spring creeks, tailwaters, and on the musky rivers. We hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday!
