Mossy Creek Fly Fishing Forecast 11/10/2025

Brian brings us the forecast this week. We want to start off by thanking everyone that came to visit our Open House this past Saturday along with a 'thank you' to George Daniel for providing us some incredible information as well. Watch out for cold days and some vicious wind most of this coming week. Sunny and 60 degree weather will return Friday and into the weekend. It is looking dry and windy so options will be limited. The good news is the leaves should all but mostly be gone this week. 30mph wind gust for the next few days ought to take care of what remains on the trees. Water levels are low but DWR stocked the Bullpasture, Jackson Special Reg, Tye, Maury, and more lakes in the last week. Grab plenty of nymphs, streamers, and 'junk food' flies like worms and eggs for this week if you head out to the stocked waters. The spring creeks and Jackson tailwater continue to provide some action while we continue to wait for rain. Bass and musky anglers will have a challenging time this week with the wind forecast. We expect conditions to improve later this week and into the weekend. The shop crew will be busy for the next month keeping everything stocked up for the holiday season. Keep an eye out for more new fly patterns and fly tying materials for 2026!!!
