Mossy Creek Fly Fishing Forecast 10/12/2021

It's fall, so we are posting Andy's mondo fallfish! Actually it is going to feel a bit more like summer this week with temps in the 80s. The mountain brook trout streams are continuing to drop and we anticipate the fish will begin their spawning ritual once water temps begin to drop again. The spring creeks are still experiencing a trico hatch in the mornings and there are a lot of hoppers and crickets available for the fish. The bass fishing should still be good this week but we are seeing that bass have begun to vacate some of their summer haunts. Anglers are fishing for musky now that water temps are back in the 60's.
