Mossy Creek Fly Fishing Report 8/23/2021
Nick brings us the intel from the Shenandoah Valley for the week ahead. Rainfall totals weren't in our favor last week and it doesn't look like we will get much this coming week. Afternoon thunderstorms will be a slight threat Thursday into Sunday. Plan on hot dry weather to continue and enjoy the epic smallmouth and largemouth bass fishing going on right now. Most of our rivers got a nice spike in water flow last week making floating a bit easier. The Shenandoah is still running slightly stained but we anticipate it to be clear again mid week. We have dragonflies, damselflies, cicadas, and hex on the water keeping fish busy staring at the surface. Frogs and big deer hair bugs are also getting the attention of big fish. The next month should be exciting as we move towards even better topwater fishing. Enjoy the video!
