Mossy Creek Fly Fishing Forecast 9/8/2021

More rain fell Wednesday night into Thursday morning. This recent batch of rain will help prolong the water we have in the mountains for the next week. The 10 day forecast is showing warm dry weather again, so if you should get your brook trout fix sooner rather than later. The spring creeks are full of water again. Susie Q Farm is stocked and open this month. We are working out the fall hunting schedule right now but should have updates on booking information soon. Beaver Creek is running mostly clear and fishing very well. Tricos continue to hatch in the morning. Fish are eating beetles, hoppers, crickets, and ants. Mossy is running turbid and in prime shape for streamer fishing. We have seen a few big fish caught lately! VDGIF will be stocking trout next month so it is prime time to gear up for the fall season. The smallmouth bass fishing continues to be excellent. We enjoyed catching fish non-stop on topwater on Tuesday. The front Wednesday slowed the bite a tad but offered up some quality fish. The 10 day forecast is showing hot dry weather that should revive our incredible bug fishing. Water temps will likely rise for the next week but we also look forward to chasing some musky here very soon. The forecast is looking amazing for the weekend with sunny mild weather!
