It is soft and supple, moves great when it is wet, and is tough to tear. We use it on trout, bass, predator, and saltwater patterns. It makes nice wing cases for big stonefly patterns, plus baitfish, crayfish, hellgrammite tails, frog legs, curly tails, and worm tails. This material does not take dye well, so we offer it in a number of popular colors. It will take different types of marker, but the color will fade or bleed out over time. Each package contains a 10\" x 6\" piece, enough for cutting dozens and dozens of small to average-sized tails and a number of larger tails. Ultra Suede has a 4-way stretch that can make drawing on it challenging, so make stencils for different-sized flies out of sandpaper for easier tracing. Try different colors and sizes of your favorite tails and let your imagination run
