The Ross Evolution LTX combines the feel of the original Evolution LT with a drag based on the Evolution R's stacked-disc system. Ross rates the drag at over four times the strength of the Evolution LT while keeping its sound and feel, giving a trout reel enough power for saltwater fish such as redfish, bonefish and snook. The bell-shaped large arbor helps self-level the line, and a line channel hides the arbor knot when you wind on backing.

Features

Stacked-disc drag based on the Evolution R system

Over four times the drag strength of the Evolution LT

Line channel in the arbor hides the arbor knot

Bell-shaped large arbor adds strength and helps self-level line

Machined canvas phenolic handle reduces weight and grips when wet

Frame and spool machined from 6061-T6 aluminum alloy

Oil-impregnated bronze bushing on a stainless steel spindle

Anodized finish

Made in Montrose, Colorado

Specs

Line weights: 3wt to 8wt

Arbor: Bell-shaped large arbor with a line channel for the arbor knot

Drag: Stacked-disc drag based on the Evolution R system, over four times the drag strength of the Evolution LT per Ross

Brand: Ross

<details>
Models and specs (4) ▼

Evolution LTX 3/4 - 3-4wt: 4.20 oz; 0.97" width x 3.42" diameter; 3-4wt; capacity WF3 + 60 yd or WF4 + 50 yd of backing; Pairs with a 3- or 4-weight rod.

Evolution LTX 4/5 - 4-5wt: 4.29 oz; 0.97" width x 3.48" diameter; 4-5wt; capacity WF4 + 85 yd or WF5 + 70 yd of backing; Matched to 4- and 5-weight lines.

Evolution LTX 5/6 - 5-6wt: 4.65 oz; 1.08" width x 3.83" diameter; 5-6wt; capacity WF5 + 115 yd or WF6 + 95 yd of backing; Sized for 5/6-weight trout rods.

Evolution LTX 7/8 - 7-8wt: 4.91 oz; 1.10" width x 4.03" diameter; 7-8wt; capacity WF7 + 175 yd or WF8 + 150 yd of backing; Sets up well on 7- and 8-weight rods.

</details>

Shop note: We'd pair the 3/4 or 4/5 with a light trout rod, the 5/6 with an all-around 5wt or 6wt, and the 7/8 with a 7wt or 8wt for redfish, bonefish or snook.
