This fly is best tied on the following hooks- Gamakatsu B10s size 1 or 1\/0 for the large, size 4 for the small. Umpqua X-Series Flats hook XS420 in size 1 or 1\/0, Gamakatsu for the large, size 4 for the small.  SC15 size 3\/0 for the large or size 1 for the small. Tiemco 8089 in size 6 for the large or size 12 for the small, Gamakatsu SL12S size 2\/0 for the large, Umpqua X-Series All purpose XS410 in size 3\/0 for large or size 4 for small, Mustad Curved Streamer hook in size 1 for large or size 2 or 4 for small, new Fulling mill Streamer stripper in size 1 for large or size 4 for the small tail, or any other like model style stinger hook. They are easy to put together, paint in your favorite color combos, and just a blast to fish. Use a heavy leader in 12-16 pound, a micro swivel to eliminate any possible line twists, and a short 12\" or so tippet.
