Mossy Creek Fly Fishing Forecast 9/13/2022

Nick brings us the forecast this week. We had some rain over the weekend that gave us a small bump in flows in the mountains. It is looking like sunny and calm weather for the next 7-10 days. This means excellent bass fishing on our favorite rivers in Virginia. The South Fork has been on fire. Triple digit days are still common and we are enjoying some major topwater action. We are anticipating some of the better bug fishing of the year this week into next week. The sight fishing on these blue bird days has been amazing. Watch out for feeding carp as well. Shoot a size 2 or 4 clawdad at the big ones mudding along the banks! The spring creeks are 'air clear' but running good for this time of year. Tricos, hex, ants, beetles, hoppers, and crickets are still in play. The overcast days provided some of the best action. Try to fish early or late on the bright and sunny days. Dry River and a few of the larger brook trout streams have some good flow right now and fishing has been good. Get out and fish the next few days while the water flows are strong! Check out the video for all the details!
