Mossy Creek Fly Fishing Forecast 1/15/2024
Brian brings us the forecast this week. Good news AGAIN! We have big-time water at the moment with rain falling last Tuesday and Tuesday night and again on Friday. We have about 2 inches of snow on the ground at the moment and could get a few more Monday night into Tuesday. Cold weather is here until next week when we will normalize a bit with temps in the 50's by next Tuesday and Wednesday. Until then the mountain trout streams will be tough to get to and a bit treacherous as most are snow covered at the moment. The spring creeks are flowing and water temps are suitable for nymph and streamer fishing. Musky and bass anglers will want to watch the weather as we will have temps in the single digits some nights this coming week. There may be some ice forming on the edges of the rivers and on the boat ramps. Conditions will improve by the middle part of next week. Until then be thankful we are in a good weather pattern for now getting all of this moisture. A few more month of this and we should be poised for a great spring season! Check out the video for the tips and tricks on where to go and what to do. Happy fishing and fly tying everyone!
