This 1 mile stretch of Mossy Creek was once owned by a club of fly fishing enthusiasts. It is now owned by a Virginia Resident and exclusively managed by Mossy Creek Fly Fishing's guide service. This stretch holds some of the best brown trout habitat on Mossy Creek. There are numerous log jams, deadfalls, undercut banks, and deep water. Some of the biggest fish on Mossy Creek have been caught on this stretch. Rainbows and browns over 25" are landed every year. The streamer fishing on this stretch is hard to be beat in the late winter and early spring season. The trico hatch here can be as thick as it gets on all of Mossy Creek. This stretch is easily accessible and can be fished by anglers with limited mobility. This stretch is fished every year during the Annual Mossy Creek Invitational fundraiser for Project Healing Waters. The owner is a very generous donor to the event every year. The Miracle Mile stretch is only available on guided fly fishing trips through our guide service. Come experience one of the best stretches of trophy spring creek water in Virginia.
