Mossy Creek Private Water
Mossy Creek runs approximately 8 miles from Mt. Solon down to North River. 4 miles
of Mossy is open to the public in the Special Regulation area from Joseph's Spring
downstream to the Augusta/Rockingham County Line. We have worked closely with a
few landowners that have been generous enough to provide guided access to their
stretches of this famous spring creek. These stretches hold good populations of
wild fish, browns that have been stocked by the VDGIF, as well as large trophy brown
and rainbow trout. These 2 areas are available for guided trips only and can only
be booked through the fly shop. Guiding on this water is very limited to retain
the quality of the fisheries and out of respect to the landowners. If you want to
