Mossy Creek Fly Fishing offers float trips on the James and Shenandoah Rivers for smallmouth, largemouth, carp, musky, and guided trips on spring creeks and freestone mountain streams for trout. The James and Shenandoah are two of Virginia's best smallmouth rivers, and they fish well from mid April through October. Our approach to guiding is to put the angler over fish that he/she can catch, and to suggest flies and techniques that have proven effective on the waters being fished. The emphasis is on safety, enjoyment, and catching fish. Instruction is available.
