Well, the New Year is now upon us and we’re looking forward to attending this years Virginia Fly Fishing & Wine Festival on January 13th & 14th Meadow Event Park – 13191 Dawn Blvd Doswell, Va. 23047 just north of Richmond, Virginia. Now in its 18th year, this is one of the largest fly fishing events in the country, and one of our favorites to attend. While the festival has been held in April in the past, this year the event was moved to January which is more in line with other winter fishing shows. Well know authors and speakers like Jason Randal, Landon Mayer, George Daniel, and Simon Gawesworth will be attending this year and offering a series of talks and specialty classes.
New speakers, experienced guides and outfitters, and some of the most respected names in fly fishing—including Sage, Fishpond, Rio, Redington, Winston, Simms, Lamson, Umpqua, Flymen, Orvis, and Patagonia–will be at this year’s festival. In addition to the esteemed Virginia wineries on hand to offer samples to festival attendees, local microbrewer Steam Bell Beer Works will join us with some great tasting brews. Please come by and say hello, cast a rod, try on some waders, or talk to us about booking that guided trip of a lifetime in 2018. F3T FILM TOUR UPDATES- The F3T FILM TOUR was not completed early enough this year to debut prior to the VA Fly Fishing Festival. We still plan on hosting a Richmond showing in spring of 2018.
